Accessibility statement
This publication should work for the people it writes about.
We aim for talkingsignage.com to conform to WCAG 2.2 Level AA and to remain useful with screen readers, keyboard input, magnification, zoom, and reduced-motion preferences.
Status: this is a pre-launch statement for the first site release. It was last reviewed on 14 August 2026.
What we have built in
- Semantic landmarks, headings, lists, articles, and navigation.
- A skip link and visible keyboard focus.
- High text contrast and layouts that reflow on smaller screens.
- Text alternatives for meaningful non-text content.
- No essential content that depends on client-side JavaScript.
- Reduced motion when the operating system requests it.
- Direct answers and source links in text, not image-only formats.
- Dates, authorship, and review information in consistent locations.
Testing approach
Automated checks are useful but incomplete. Before public launch, the site should be tested by keyboard, at 200% and 400% zoom, with forced text resizing, and with current screen-reader/browser combinations. Blind and low-vision contributors should test key journeys including finding a guide, searching the library, reading an article, checking sources, and sharing a question.
Known limitations
The public question-submission route has not yet been connected. At launch, this page will be updated with an accessible feedback channel and response expectations.

Guides link to laws, standards, research, and other external sources. We do not control the accessibility of those sites or documents. Where a key source is difficult to use, we will try to explain its relevant point in clear HTML while still linking to the original.
